Emode Editor – Modelling and Development Platform
Client information
In the year 2006 until 2007 I worked as an undergraduate assistant at the Technical University of Dresden (Germany), chair of Computer Science to develop a modelling and development platform called Emode Editor.
The editor was based on Java and at the time I was working on it we were testing the boundaries of the framework GEF (Graphical Editing Framework). I particularly used GEF to built different kinds of geometrical figures on a stage that could be used for modelling class diagrams like it is done with UML. Furthermore, I had to make sure that these objects could be linked via associations (e.g. compositions, aggregations). In my opinion GEF was the right tool for our cause and it was actually fun working with it.
Many thanks to my former superiors who gave me the opportunity to work on that project and special thanks to Anja Strunk who took me under her wing and teached me a great deal in software development.
